There are some part in the 911 call I hadn´t heard before, the part where the paramedic says that obviously since there is a doctor he knows better what to do than him??? hmmm, this we all know now wasn´t true. Murray performed his 1st CPR!!!! I mean c´mon.
I DID hear that before. See, technically, if there is a physician by the patient, then the doctor takes charge, BUT 9/11 cannot hang up until the paramedics arrive. They have to stay on the phone in case there's other things that are asked of them. In this case, because a doctor was there, they hung up before the paramedics arrived. I think that's against policy.
ReplyDeleteYes I know that paramedics are supposed to be on the phone until arriving to the patient. That was not what I meant, I meant that this version of the tape I haven´t heard before where he says this. I have heard several versions of this phone call but this was new at least for me or then can be that I have missed it somehow?
ReplyDeleteThere were two versions of that call online almost immediately. But they're actually the same call, just that one version cut some stuff out. Yes, I did hear this version back in june 2 years ago. Actually, it was the first version I ever heard. It's not "versions" coz it really was just ONE call, it's that some media have cut parts of the tape. I think Maura actually talked about this in one of her very first videos. If not maura, then someone who did good videos like her coz I remember it. I remember thinking when I first heard this call that 9/11 shouldn't have hung up when they found out about a doctor being there. So , I just think u missed it, coz since that time, only parts of the call have played. That's my theory. IF indeed there were two different calls made, then I wouldn't know. But I think the consensus was that the initial call was cut subsequently.
ReplyDeleteCan be that I heard the other version too before, like I said might just have forgot about it somehow. But in any case it´s weird there are several cut versions out there and mostly the one without this sentence where he mentions dr Murray being there....
