I saw a document about this some years ago on TV and I do believe this is absolutely true. In that document there was a girl who had been taught since little that she will go to hell because she didn´t eat well, or she had relationships etc. And she told it is totally invented just to scare people like her. SHe herself stopped believing and told that the church is full of...........
Well,as u know, I've been studying the Bible, as well as the Koran, and Torah etcc... and yes, my belief too is that the organized Church and Religion is full of BS. They've twisted and tried to hide the truths from us, and what this priest said about using fear to keep us controlled is absolutely true. I don't believe at all that we are meant to live in fear.
exactly my thoughts. I have to say my parents have been smart because ever since I was little they taught me to think like this. Maybe not a coincidence that he met an alien? and one thing that I came to think about is, maybe the aliens show themselves to people that are open and not so restricted?not saying that religious people are, but just wondering?
Did u know that there wasn't any mention of a literal HELL until the 1611 King James edition of the Bible? I think I mentioned this in an email, but I wanted to elaborate that here a little more. That means that the Church (whether it was Protestant, Catholic or whatever), made up HELL to keep people fearful and in control. The older versions talk about Sheol, which means darkness. Like I told u before, I've actually ordered different versions of the Bible, even a couple from way before the King James, and I'm going through each one comparing them. The older versions of the Bible that I have are written in very old English, so it makes it harder to read, but not impossible. SO far I'm able to understand them perfectly, although have to read a little slower. Also the font they used, which is beautiful, makes it a little harder to distinguish the words. I'm even planning to get the original Latin Bible (Latin Vulgata), which was written way before any English versions. I can understand some Latin, but it definitely would be a challenge to read it, lol I learned LAtin when I was little, in Portuguese school on SAturdays, actually. For 6 years, every Saturday, I was in Portuguese school, LOL And it was my idea, not my parents. Most kids want their Saturdays free to play or do whatever, but not me, I begged my parents to enroll me in Portuguese school (which they had to pay for) . So yeah, I've always been a little weird, LOL But I'm so happy I did that, coz it really has enriched my life.
Wow you truly are fascinated but I do believe what you are saying. I have always had the thought that so many things in the religions are invented. Like that priest mentioned every religion wants to be the ONE and the only ONE. I do believe as he said that GOD is within us not some man sitting on a cloud watching over us. Religion is much more complicated than we think or should we say actually more simple. The exciting thing is that remember when I told you the aliens said we know more about God and the universe than we might think. Imagine if inside of us the information is there but just needs to be brought up somehow?
I hope you get to read the latin version of the bible, because it is clear that the more far back we go the more we find out. I think some parts of the bible have been translated badly and maybe even on purpose. Thinking about Da Vinci Code and lost symbol again and all the signs that were already in there.
