I love that video! Somehow it got to my heart. Growing up, I didn't have much stuff on the jackson's or jackson5. I was more an MJ solo fan, but today, I do like all of that stuff too. Since june 2009, have listened to everything made by the jackson 5 and The jackson's, and bought several CD's with their best work. But I'll always remain more of an MJ girl, LOL
I have always been an MJ fan but since I had victory and all the Janet albums since little the family itself has always lived with me too. The Jacksons hasn´t done anything in a long time so I kind of forgot how good they were sometimes. Seeing this video though took me way back and I thought I have to remember it all over again. I will try to get some of the albums as cd´s since I don´t have a vinyl player anymore :(. I have most of the older albums as vinyls and still love them, yes I do.
I did like the Jackson's but it wasn't until Michael came out solo that I became crazy about him. And really, it was the Thriller album that did it. But over the last 2 years, I've really appreciated the music from his earlier years, although I know he didn't have much to do in the writing and producing of this earlier work. I think Motown was special. Like Berry Gordon said, there is competition, but they did seem like a family, unlike what u hear from the big production companies today.
Yes, me too. He looked really sincere in giving that speech. This week, I hope I get a chance to watch the WHOLE memorial again, and see if I pick up different things. I'm also going to watch TII movie, to see what pops out to me that I hadn't noticed before.
That's the reason why I haven't watched this kind of stuff over the past couple of years, coz I end up being emotional... But I want to try watching it objectively, and not let my emotions get in the way this time. I think I can do it now, or at least , I'll try.
