Can true love be forgotten?
As the only scion who can descend into the Underworld, Helen Hamilton has been given a nearly impossible task. By night she wanders through Hades, trying to stop the endless cycle of revenge that has cursed her family. By day she struggles to overcome the fatigue that is rapidly eroding her sanity. Without Lucas by her side, Helen is not sure she has the strength to go on.
Just as Helen is pushed to her breaking point, a mysterious new Scion comes to her rescue. Funny and brave, Orion shields her from the dangers of the Underworld. But time is running out—a ruthless foe plots against them, and the Furies' cry for blood is growing louder.
As the ancient Greek world collides with the mortal one, Helen's sheltered life on Nantucket descends into chaos. But the hardest task of all will be forgetting Lucas Delos.
Josephine Angelini's compelling saga becomes ever more intricate and spellbinding as an unforgettable love triangle emerges and the eternal cycle of revenge intensifies. Eagerly awaited, this sequel to the internationally bestselling Starcrossed delivers a gritty, action-packed love story that exceeds all expectations.

already started the book by reading the first 5 chapters. This book has interesting turns and I love it just like the first one. The characters have grown a little in their roles and now they also know each other better. It seems as if Helen and Claire grow apart since their lives are going in different directions. What will happen with Lucas and Helen and can their love conquer even the hardest struggles?
ReplyDeleteI'll read it soon. I wonder if this is the last book, or if there will be another after?
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a trilogy even in this so one more should come after this. I think we have to wait another year since this was just released now in May!!! Anyway heading for the eight chapter already so already getting quite far in the book.It is already getting exciting.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that things could end up however with the scenario of Lukas and Helen, especially since they don´t know everything. I wonder how this second book will end and if the third would be concentrating on other things?
ReplyDeleteI'm finishing another book and then this is next on my list.
ReplyDeleteOnly couple of chapters left in this book. It´s getting exciting. Can´t wait until you start reading it so we can talk more about the facts in it. I will use this and then 50 shades of grey and also rapture in my book club. I will need even a forth book, but looking at us we don´t seem to have problems finding new ones all the time. I love the fact that there are lots of good books out at the moment. The best thing with reading is really the own imagination of the characters in it.
ReplyDeleteI promise, I'll start reading it very soon. This weekend probably.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy ur enjoying reading and discovering why I love it. There's nothing like the imagination! lol
I get a lot of book ideas from an online book club called GoodReads. That's how I found the Fallen series and Dreamless series.
One of these days, I'm going to get u to read an actual classic, lol I DO enjoy those old classic from time to time. The English was SO romantic compared to today, lol And the French too. I've read quite few French classic books, notibly from Jules Vernes.
I would love to try some classics too. Did I tell you that my book club let´s me try any 4 books, so it´s perfect since we have books we are reading the whole time. You got me all excited about reading :p
ReplyDeleteThe thing with books is that there are books for every taste, so everyone can read something they enjoy. Have u chosen all 4 books for ur book club? If not, maybe I can look into some titles for u. I'll read them along with u,lol
ReplyDeleteYeah and we definitely share taste :D. I have the 3 books ready already ( rapture / 50 shades of grey and then dreamless). Only one book missing. I thought why not use the books I´m reading at the moment !!
ReplyDeleteOk, so u have 3 books. How about adding a classic? How about "Gone With The Wind"? lol I actually never read that book, lol I always wanted to read it, but never did. Talk about "a classic!" LOL So, what do u think? I don't think I have it yet on the kindle, but heck it's 96 cents, so why not? LOL
ReplyDeleteActually, I just checked, I already DO have Gone With the Wind in the kindle, lol I have so many books there, I can't keep track, lol
ReplyDeleteSounds a good idea. I think I saw the movie when I was little but only remember it´s like the most romantic thing I saw as a kid, but that´s all. I have also had thoughts about reading Romeo and Juliet too. It´s such a classic but then again something that fascinates me. But yeah SHOOOOT let´s do the classic one, gone with the wind, why not xD
ReplyDeleteOK, then Gone with the wind it is. Although I plan to read Dreamless and Rapture first, and the books u sent, lol But the books u sent, I'm done with one, and the other will be kind of "extra" reading. Romeo and Juliet I read a couple of times already. For school, lol Of course, great romantic story, but I have to tell u, it's difficult to read Shakesparean english, lol
ReplyDeleteI have actually read the original Shakespeare some years ago and yes it was difficult. But maybe there is a modern version you know like they did a new version of the movie with Leo di Caprio. I loved that movie as a remade version of the classic tale. Well we will see.... I have totally forgotten what Gone with the wind is about, all I remember is that it is a romantic tale of a couple that has the longest kiss scene. There you see I know the most unnecessary things, LOL! But as you mentioned I want to read Rapture first too, since I have waited for this book all spring. I´m about to finish Dreamless and am already on the second book of 50 shades !!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what the story is about either, but I hear it's one of the greatest romantic stories of all time, so I'm curious, lol Isn't it from Gone With the Wind that they get the line "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" LOL It IS a long book, so don't know if ur still going to want to read it,lol but we can always give it a try. And ur book club would be impressed if u read it, LOL
ReplyDeleteIt´s so funny how many classics there are out that we know so little of. I definitely want to give it a try and as you said I might even impress a little ;D
